Bridget Davey Photography

I am a Traveler and Photographer with base near London, in the South East of England.

At the age of 7 I got my first camera from my dad and I found it fascinating how you can get a photo out of such tiny box with a hole.

Photography was not more than a hobby for me, I never had any thought to develop it into something more.

This changed as I started to travel. My first step bought me to China and opened a whole new world for me. I tried to catch everything with my camera on my journey.

My first real camera was a Canon film camera. I still have this camera. I can’t give it away because it has so many memories. I never went away from Canon.

With the digital camera so came my interest to develop my hobby into something more. I was reading everything I could find about how to take better pictures. The negative in this was now I wanted to see more from the world and take photos from all the places I’ve read about.

For today, I love Landscape Photography. Just to sit there, watch the sky and wait for the perfect moment and the perfect light.
A year ago I came over an article and photos from Yen Baet about Blue Hour Photography and I got addicted. Apart from the very early mornings and late evenings, specially in the summer time, it is just amazing what you can catch during this time of day. To take photos at day time is great but during Blue Hour is something special and you will see everything in a new light.

As well as Landscape and Cityscape I am a Dog Portrait Photographer. Thanks to my two Beagles I fell in love taking photos of dogs and to capture their personality and their character.

All in all I am trying to tell a story with my photos Landscape, Family or Dog Portrait.

Hope you will enjoy my photos.
